Snowdon 360 - Climb Snowdon

Snowdon 360

Group Challenge

This stunning circular route will take you on a full circumnavigation of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) - Wales' highest mountain. Starting and finishing in the picturesque village of Llanberis, it’s a fully guided adventure that provides a unique perspective of the mountain’s rugged terrain, secret cwms, and native plant life.

The route starts with a challenging ascent to Yr Wyddfa’s summit (1,085m/3,560ft), where, weather permitting, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views over the coast and northern Snowdonia. After a well-earned break at Pen Y Pass, the journey continues over the copper mines, through the historic village of Beddgelert, and along the Snowdonia Slate Trail before returning to Llanberis.

Led by one of our qualified local mountain leaders, you’ll gain insights into the area's history, geology, and natural beauty, and be able to immerse yourself in the experience without worrying about navigation or route planning.

What an amazing experience, the views, the weather and a great team of leaders who got us through this challenge!

I am already looking up my next hike - the blisters and aches were more than worth it. Training is essential and walking poles, which were my saviour!

FAQs

How long does the Snowdon 360 take?

The full route is 48km (29 miles) and typically takes a full day. We recommend arriving in Llanberis the day before to ensure you’re well-rested. The exact duration depends on the group’s pace, weather conditions, and the judgment of our experienced mountain leaders, who prioritise safety at all times.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Yr Wyddfa is known for its unpredictable weather! If cloud cover obscures summit views, there will still be plenty of dramatic mountain terrain to enjoy. Our leaders continuously assess conditions and may adjust the route for safety reasons.

What should I bring?

You don’t need specialist technical equipment to complete the Snowdon 360, but we will provide a full kit list in advance. Sturdy walking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, and a backpack with essentials are recommended. Your mountain leader will carry all necessary group safety equipment.

Is this challenge suitable for beginners?

This is a demanding trek suited to individuals with a good level of fitness and experience in hill walking. If you’re new to mountain challenges, we recommend trying a shorter guided walk before attempting the full Snowdon 360.

Do you provide accommodation?

Accommodation isn't included, but we’ve compiled a list of excellent local providers for your convenience.
