Group Challenge
Reach the summit of Yr Wydffa (Snowdon) not once but three times, exploring 6 stunning routes to take you up and down the mountain.
Hiking up the beautiful Watkin Path to reach the summit for the first time, we’ll return down the historic Miner's track, taking in views of the famous Snowdon Horseshoe: Y Lliwedd (898m), Snowdon (1,085m) Garnedd Ugain (1,065m) and Crib Goch (921m).
After a refuel at Pen Y Pass, we take the popular, rugged PYG track back to the summit, stopping to enjoy the views down the heavily glaciated valley of the Llanberis Pass, towards the lakes of Llyn Peris and Llyn Padarn. The peaceful Rhyd Ddu path takes us to our next re-fuel stop, before heading across to join the dramatic Ranger path for our final ascent.
Our qualified, local mountain leaders will be with you every step of the way, providing technical advice, support and insights into every route’s history, geology and unique character.
We completed the Snowdon 6 Challenge for charity, and it was superb from start to finish. The organisers were professional, friendly, and genuinely charming — the kind of team you’re simply happy to spend a long, tough day with. Briefings were clear, logistics slick, and their knowledge of Snowdon and mountain hiking in general really showed. We always felt safe, supported, and well-paced.
The challenge itself is a cracker: demanding, varied and incredibly rewarding. In our experience it was tougher than the National 3 Peaks but crossing that finish line felt all the sweeter for it.

We have just climbed Snowdon as a corporate group to raise money for a local charity, using RAW Adventures as our guide. We are so glad we did - our guide Paul was described by the group as a 'legend'. He chatted, distracted, encouraged, motivated, relaxed members of the group when needed and even lent baby wipes when required!
I would highly recommend booking with RAW Adventures if you're thinking of climbing a mountain as a team event. It's an experience we won't forget and has brought us closer as a team. Thank you Paul!

FAQs
How long does the Snowdon 6 take?
The full route is approximately 39km / 24 miles, and takes a full day to complete. The exact duration depends on the group’s pace, weather conditions, and the decisions of our experienced Mountain Leaders, who may make adjustments to the route to prioritise safety.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Yr Wyddfa’s weather is unpredictable, and conditions may change rapidly. If severe weather poses a safety risk, our leaders may adjust the route. However, rain alone will not prevent the challenge from going ahead!
Our leaders continuously assess conditions and may adjust the route for safety reasons.
What should I bring?
You don’t need specialist technical equipment to complete the Snowdon 6, but we will provide a full kit list in advance. Sturdy walking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, and a backpack with essentials are recommended. Your mountain leader will carry all necessary group safety equipment.
Is this challenge suitable for beginners?
The Snowdon 6 is a demanding trek suited to individuals with a good level of fitness and experience in hill walking. If you’re new to mountain challenges, we recommend trying a shorter guided walk before attempting the full Snowdon 6.
Do you provide accommodation?
